Translating the Idea of Made From Scratch Into Design and Experience for a Neighbourhood Cafe

Handmade Café in Pune was conceived as a neighbourhood space designed for time spent. In a category where cafés are often built either for quick consumption or visual appeal, there are few environments that balance comfort, quality, and engagement for families. Parents frequently struggle to find spaces where they can relax while their children remain meaningfully engaged without relying on screens. The project set out to address this gap by creating a community-led café rooted in everyday use.
